About You!
Personality: Off, that's a possible word that can be used to describe Tomoe. She doesn't socialize, she doesn't interact, all that she does is work. It was a personality trade that she had gained while working along side her father in Pukku. Because of this, her standoff nature seems almost natural because of what she does. Her work also creates more of a 'stay far from me ' aura. Tomoe doesn't enjoy physical contact with people, touching, hugging, or even a friendly pat on the back. It makes her feel uneasy and almost sickish.
If needing to converse with people, then she'd rather just keep it to a light conversation about anything that isn't too far out there. It's just small conversations is what marks her as being semi a normal person, long as someone can keep their hands away from her body then she'll be all right. Because of the mask, some people don't speak to her or even realize it was originally Tomoe speaking to them. Because of this, Tomoe often finds herself being even more lonesome despite the fact that she loves her work.
What else about Tomoe that is probably almost typical to many other people is that she is a
very private person. She doesn't enjoy releasing information about her personal or familial life to anyone, even with those that she works with. Tomoe doesn't trust many people and this is usually why because with too much information people become strange and even more distant depending on what they find out about another person. She has seen it happen before and because of it, she has found it even more difficult to work with those that have found out a bit too much.
Likes: Tomoe actually enjoys her work, something that even her co workers complain about majority of the time. Even though she is distant from people, being able to meet and interact with people is something that Tomoe secretly enjoys, especially with some of the neat characters that she comes across. She's met some of her closer 'friends' through her job.
Even though her home is technically in Pakku, her home is anywhere that she can find a safe place to fall asleep at. With her job, Tomoe is always wandering and moving around and barely finds any time to return to Pakku or where any of her distant family members live in since they constantly ask her to visit. Besides, Tomoe couldn't feel even bothered to find a place that she truly considers home mostly because there isn't anyone around to ground her.
Dislikes: Tomoe
hates touching, anything that deals with physical contact makes her physically sick and very moody. Some co workers almost say that it could possibly because she wasn't shown 'love' while growing up, probably because she would keep moving around with her father as he worked as well. Tomoe just tries to keep touching to a minimal base thing, unless its for medical reasoning or if she needs assistance.
Sleep, if anything other then touching, bothers Tomoe. Mostly because she feels as if she can get so much more work done if she remains awake then sleeping. That and Tomoe just doesn't like the feeling of sleep, she doesn't comprehend the emotion, the feeling or the ability. Plus there had been one occurrence.. that at the age of sixteen Tomoe woke up to find that her father had left in the middle of the night leaving her all alone.
History: Jun-ha, father.. and even a mother. An earthbender by birth and a messenger courier by trade. Jun-ha was once married to a beautiful woman who gave birth to their young daughter, Tomoe. Although.. there was a terrible accident, one that Jun-ha wasn't aware of until returning home from a two month journey to a different city.
There was a bandit raid on the small village that they lived in. So many people were dead, so many people were taken. The elderly died, the women were taken, the children.. some were both. The men of the village were slaughtered but yet there were many that still yet lived from what was to believed fatal wounds but were not.
Jun-ha's wife was one of those either missing or dead, Tomoe was being cared by one of the very few women that managed to survive the raid. Devastation hadn't racked the village in over several decades.
Knowing that there was a chance he'd never be able to see his wife again, Jun-ha prepared a memorial for his wife along side everyone else who had lost a loved one to the bandit raids. After two weeks, Jun-ha took Tomoe away from the village and began to travel around while raising her.
He was part of a very world known messenger group. Although there was no name for them, there was a highly notable symbol that showed that people were part of the group; gas masks. Many people revered them because of their ability to carry things otherwise other people would stay far away from. Others came to hate them because some secrets that they wished dead would come to surface because the group was hired.
This is the life that Tomoe has been living ever since that one day. In the beginning, Jun-ha would leave Tomoe with some very trusted friends while making rounds and delivering what would be needed because he knew that people would target him knowing that he had a daughter.
Traveling life is something personal that Tomoe enjoys and would never wish to depart from the ability to do it. In the beginning Tomoe would watch her father leave for weeks and even months at times. Around the age of ten, she began to join her fathers on his missions and was marked part of the courier group in the beginning with a medical mask with a
X on the front of it to show other couriers that it was another's child.
However.. at the age of sixteen Tomoe had awoken from slumber to find that her father had disappeared in the middle of the night. there was nothing to show that he had left a message behind, not even an encrypted one. It shocked and hurt Tomoe deeply that something like that would happen, or that her father would do that.
It has been two years since her father's disappearance and that she's been on her own. Tomoe approached the Courier's main stronghold in hope to see if he left something behind there, only for the older couriers to pause in curious thought due to the fact that Jun-ha was one of their most valuable members. Despite his disappearance.. the courier group decided that in good faith that they'd watch over Tomoe.
Ever since that day, Tomoe has also joined the Courier group and now wears a gas mask at all times. Something that even startles older couriers since they would take it off in their down time.
